Description
Rare FAIRCHILD  "CINEPHONIC  EIGHT" . The Final and improved version (1964-65). Redesigned and with Excellent "Zoom" lens and "Automatic" Selenium Cel Coupled Exposure Meter.
The Cinephonic was the Vert First  8mm "Magnetic" sound track camera.
The special 8mm film was made by  first by Ansco and later by Kodak for the camera. It required a Special Fairchild "Sound Projector" for viewing.
The camera is equipped with an Excellent f:1.8 Fairchild "10-30mm" Zoom lens and "Coupled to the Lens", Automatic  Exposure Meter Diaphragm control and a very sophistcated "Automatic Adjustment" directional Microphone (see photo).
The sound and the image are automatically aligned on the film.
A really Attractive and well designed camera. It dispalys Beautifully. In it's Original Fitted Black case with the Microphone. charger and Lens Cap.
I am selling it As Is and for display only. The film no longer exists.
