Description

You are bidding on an original WWII Japanese Type 30 bayonet and scabbard.
The bayonet was manufactured at the Matsushita Kinzoku KK Arsenal or National Denki.
The bayonet is about 20 1/8 inches long with the blade being 15 ¾ inches.
The blade has a blue finish that is thinning and shows light wear from the scabbard.
The blade has the factory edge which is about 10 inches and then dull to the hilt.
The grips are wood and are weathered with dents and scratches.
The push button release does work.
The end of the pommel is marked with several small stamps and the number 73465.
The scabbard is metal and has a dull blue finish that is turning a plumb color.
There is some pitting.
It has scratches and a few small dents.
The bayonet will fit the Type 38 and Type 99 Arisaka Rifles.
