    Description

    This is a Japanese WWll Army officer`s sword in mountings.   The blade is signed "Mino koku junin Kato Toshinaga kin saku 美濃国住人加藤寿命謹作" with 昭 inspection stamp,
    shinogi-zukuri
    shape, WWll time period ca.1940 era made blade.
    Toshinaga`s or other readings Jumyo`s real name is Kato Zennosuke, born in July, 1893, lived in Seki city, Gifu prefecture, made swords during WWll time period and after the war, listed in Gendai Toko Soran book page 93.     The blade is traditional hand forged, water quenched Gendaito blade, in old full polish, no rust, no stain and in mint condition.       The temper line is wavy
    chusuguba
    with
    ko-gunome
    temper and has deep temper at the point.       There is no bend, no nick, no crack and cutting edge is sharp.  The scabbard is glossy lacquered wood scabbard, shows tiny lacquer loss, but no crack, no bend and in good condition.     The handle is tight fit with silver family mon,
