VERY OLD ASIAN SWORD WITH SCABBARD 20” IN SCABBARD & 10 1/2” BLADE THAILAND

This is a very old vintage Asian sword/knife with the original scabbard which I am guessing is maybe from early 20th Century Thailand and very possibly even older. I know very little about this item and if anyone out there can give me any further information it would be greatly appreciated. The entire piece in the scabbard measures 20”. The pointed front tip of the scabbard is very sharp.  The actual blade measures 10 1/2” and is likely 1/2” recessed into the handle making it very likely an 11” blade. The blade has rust in some areas especially towards the front area on both sides which looks like it would clean up but other than that it appears to be in good condition considering it is very old. I always sell my items exactly as found and never alter or clean up any of my items in any way. This item has been sitting untouched for decades in the back of a closet and is being sold “as found”, “as is”. I guarantee that this is an originI vintage piece and not a clone or reproduction.
