Description
Very good condition original WWI Japanese
army Type 32 sword that is complete with matching numbered scabbard. Sword has
the Tokyo Arsenal symbol on the guard and dated Taisho 1 for 1912. Sword is the
Otsu model with a 30 ½” blade, issued to NCOs and enlisted men in the military
police and transportation corps, and master sergeants in the infantry,
engineers, and artillery. Blade has nice original bright finish with a few gray
pits and has been sharpened. Hilt has nice original blue finish. Finger loop
has been neatly removed. Scabbard latch functions fine. Wood grips have
original finish and crisp checkering and a good tight fit, no damage. Matching
numbered steel scabbard has nice original blue finish and no dents. A nice Type
32 sword with matching numbers.
