The Canon 514XL Super8:
The compact workhorse of all Canon Super 8s. One of the latest models, sturdy, reliable, fixable, with all the essential functions, in a very small and lightweight package.
It has an excellent viewfinder for its size, better than the 310XL.
It runs at either 9 frames per second or 18 FPS (not 24 FPS).
It only needs two AA R6 batteries, light meter included.

The viewfinder is clean and clear.
Focus movement smooth and even.
The zoom movement is working smoothly on all the range, in manual and electric mode.

Clean battery and film compartment.
External condition : very good.
New light seal installed on film door.
The whole camera has been cleaned.

I now deal only in Canon Super 8s : 310, 514, 814 Electronic and 814 Auto Zoom.
All the cameras I sell are cleaned, checked and often
(when indicated in the description above) lubricated, get new light seal foam, etc...
I test them with a film cartridge inserted - I do not process this film, but little can go wrong with a new Super8 cartridge. Processing it would bump up the camera price quite a bit.
